On December 7th, 2012, Brooklyn-based producer KRTS (Kurtis Hairston) released his first LP, titled “The Dread of an Unknown Evil“. With the prevailing dread of an unknown and uncertain future, this 10-track album is an intimate experience, that explores emotions such as fear, apprehension, doubt, angst, and sorrow.
This beautifully crafted sound scape was blended with eclectic sounds of soul, jazz, electronica, downtempo grooves, dub, and hip hop. The mood is a mixture between calm and slightly chaotic.
